Alice Valenzuela and her husband, Roberto, were successful Silicon Valley entrepreneurs living among the “lifestyles of the rich and the famous.” But they were struck by an epiphany that they didn’t want to raise their children with a sense of entitlement, so they jumped ship to Sonora, Mexico, where they started over on Roberto’s family ranch with no electricity or running water. In this episode, I sit down with Alice at Rancho Mababi during a Coues deer hunt (watch the video here) to hear the inspirational story, and also discover how hunting was introduced on the ranch.
