Brian Murphy, HuntStand wildlife biologist, joins the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) for a spring turkey hunt at Charlane, a property owned by legendary rock star Chuck Leavell. Leavell’s musical career is far reaching, ranging from the Allman Brothers Band to The Rolling Stones. His reputation precedes him as one of the best pianists/keyboard players of all time. Leavell continues to play music, but he has also become a profound figure in land and wildlife conservation.

WITH CHUCK LEAVELL
Leavell understands how hunters play a significant role in conservation, so it was no surprise when he welcomed Team HuntStand and the NWTF to enjoy a memorable spring turkey camp at Charlane.
Aside from chasing turkeys, the group spent time discussing Leavell’s personal conservation efforts and some of his recent projects, including a new film, “Chuck Leavell: The Tree Man.” You can watch the film through various streaming services, including Amazon Prime Video. Also, be sure to check out “America’s Forests with Chuck Leavell,” a compelling TV series about sustainable forestry.
