A familiar buck. Many more inches of antler. It’s one year later, and our Week 5 winner is crowned.

I’d guess most all of us would love to have a solid deer-hunting plan sewn up in July. Pennsylvania’s Lelan Ehst, 18, sure does, and it’s one to make many of us envious. For sending in these recent pics of a barrel-chested, main-frame PA 10-point, Ehst is our Week 5 Big Buck HIT LIST winner. The weekly win scores Ehst a $50 gift certificate redeemable for any BigFoot Cellular Game Camera or accessories (see below), and also makes him eligible for our September drawing to win a BigFoot Cellular Game Camera.

“I got these photos July 22 in Berks County, Pennsylvania, on my Grandpa’s farm,” Ehst wrote. “The buck is standing over a mineral sight about 30 yards from my stand, along the edge of my food plot. This year I planted a mixture of oats, clover, rye, and an assortment of beets. Week5 Two 900“We live right in the center of a big valley of farms so we get a lot of different bucks through our area, but I’m pretty sure he’s the big eight point that we had hanging around last year, a deer we never could quite catch up with. If he sticks around, I’ll be hunting him during the upcoming bow season with my Mathews compound.”

To enter the 2019 Big Buck HIT LIST Contest, simply send us a few clear, high-res. digital trail cam photos (two to five) of a buck (or bucks) TAKEN IN THE SUMMER OF 2019 (Day or night images, photos accepted NOW THROUGH SEPT. 6). Be sure to include the date and state where the images were taken, and a few sentences detailing the type of terrain/area where the image(s) were captured (i.e. funnel leading to soybean field, favorite stand site near wooded creekbed, etc.) and some info on the buck(s) pictured. Do you have any history with the buck? Is the buck a likely newcomer to your area? Is the deer somehow unusual or unique for the area? What weapons/seasons will you use to hunt the pictured buck(s)?

Along with your photos, include your full name and age, and also be sure to include your mailing address. Your e-mail subject line should read: Big Buck HIT LIST! Send photo(s) and requested info to: [email protected]  ScoutLookGiftCard 900We’re choosing 10 weekly winners that we began showcasing July 6.
