Bowhunting Giant Alberta Whitetails – Part 2 [The Chronicles]

by Brian Stephens

MORE FROM Brian

Northern Alberta Outfitters is like my second home. This farm is tucked away deep in the heart of the Canadian wilderness.  Bowhunting giant Canadian whitetails … it doesn’t get any better. Click here to witness some action from last season and you’ll see what I mean. In this new film, I’m back with my Elite Option 6 and Rocky Mountain Warhead broadheads and hunting over fields of canola in a Redneck Bale Blind. Despite the rainy conditions as predicted by HuntStand, impressive numbers of deer were on the move.

We finally came eye to eye with a deer over 300 pounds on the last day of the hunt. It was a now-or-never situation for me that ended up being one of my most memorable bowhunts to date. Every bowhunter understands the highs and lows of trying to kill mature deer. Even in a place like this, where there are so many whitetails, it’s never easy.
