by HuntStand

MORE FROM HuntStand

TenPoint Crossbow Technologies recently launched their lightest and lowest-priced ACUslide crossbow ever — the NEW Venom X. It weighs in at 6.9-pounds and measures 9.75-inches wide. And it’s loaded with features.

Accuracy

The Venom X generates greater down-range accuracy thanks to the Scope Struts and Pro-View 400 Lighted Scope. The Scope Struts increase strength by 80%, effectively providing a rock-solid foundation for optics to deliver long-range accuracy and in-the-field durability.

Illuminated in red or green, and featuring an updated reticle that provides a cleaner view for the shooter and additional aim points out to 70-yards, the 4×32 Pro-View 400 scope accommodates crossbows shooting between 380-420 FPS.

Speed

Fueling its speed is the NEW MDX Cam system, which generates incredible rotation to produce speeds of 390 fps. The bow assembly’s Quad-Yoke cable technology utilizes four yokes, attached to the limb tips, which eliminates cam lean and generates straight-nock travel leading to same-hole down-range accuracy.

Safety

It even features silent and safe cocking and de-cocking with the ACUslide. The patented ACUslide Cocking and De-Cocking System features the Auto-Brake Gear System.  The patented Auto-Brake eliminates the potential of losing control during de-cocking which can lead to injury or costly bow damage. While cocking and de-cocking with the ACUslide, the user can remove their hand — with no other action required — and the handle will stop in place.

Comfort

The crossbow has an ultra-light, two-piece TECH-TAC stock that features multiple weight reducing cutouts. The stock provides the shooter with ideal length-of-pull and combines with the Pro-View 400 Lighted Scope to yield perfect eye alignment.

The Venom X features the S1 trigger.  This 2-stage, zero-creep design features an advanced roller-sear system that delivers a consistent crisp, 3.5-pound pull. The trigger is equipped with a DFI (Dry-Fire-Inhibitor).

The Venom X is also equipped with a bow hook that allows the hunter to easily hang their bow in the stand. An integrated String Dampening System is also included to reduce noise and vibration.
