Springfield Armory is known for legendary centerfire rifles, but it crafts incredible rimfire models, too. The new line of Springfield Armory Model 2020 rimfire rifles is exceptional and offers numerous advantages to shooters and hunters alike.
It’s offered as the Classic with a wood stock and comes in four different grades of Turkish walnut and satin finish (select satin, grade A, grade AA, and grade AAA). The Target model includes a reinforced polymer synthetic stock.
Furthermore, the 20-inch barrel is free-floated its full length for accuracy. This prevents point of impact shift due to pressure against the stock. Of course, this barrel is threaded to accept suppressors and other muzzle devices.
It also has dual cocking cams, which facilitates a fast, smooth cycle. It even features a chrome bolt with 60-degree throw and threaded handle to enhance ergonomics and speed. This model also incorporates an interrupted picatinny rail, sports the .22-caliber rotary magazine, and more. It holds 10 rounds, feeds smoothly, and ejects cleanly.
This model has a 13.45-inch length of pull. It comes with sling swivels, rubber recoil pad, and a Remington 700 Pattern Trigger. It’s offered in six different configurations, with MSRP ranging from $434-$1,099.
So, after the successful launch of the Model 2020 centerfire rifle family, Springfield Armory continues the momentum with these impressive new rimfire rifles. Check out the video review of the Springfield Model 2020 rimfire rifles, courtesy of Ron Spomer.
