Savage Arms KLYM Series
Savage Arms recently introduced the KLYM series, which is the latest evolution, and brings new performance to rifles designed for the highest treks and most remote hunts. This innovative line of rifles features exclusive partnerships with PROOF Research and Fine Ballistic Tools (FBT), and includes the proven 110 and Impulse platforms.

How to Use HuntStand for Predator Hunting
Each KLYM offering features an exclusive carbon fiber wrapped, steel cut and 5/8×24 threaded barrel from PROOF research. It also includes the FBT custom carbon fiber stock. The stocks also include one-button adjustable comb height, two sling studs, and a MagnaSwitch system installed. The 110 KLYM options include a user-adjustable 1.5-4 lb. AccuTrigger, tang safety, blueprinted action, drilled and tapped receiver (8-40), and a one-piece picatinny scope rail.
The 110 KLYM is available in 6.5 Creedmoor, 308 Winchester, 6.5 PRC, 7mm PRC, 300 Win Mag, and 300 WSM. MSRP is listed at $2,699. The Impulse KLYM is available in 6.5 Creedmoor, 308 Winchester, 6.5 PRC, 7mm PRC, 300 Win Mag, and 300 WSM. It’s MSRP is $3,299.
Savage Arms Ultralite Elite
Alongside the KLYM series, Savage Arms also launched the 110 Ultralite Elite. PROOF Research crafted a barrel specific for this firearm. It too includes a carbon-fiber wrapped stainless steel barrel. Furthermore, MDT — a leader in chassis systems and delivering value and accuracy to shooters — has its HNT26 folding carbon fiber stock on the 110 Ultralite Elite. This new rifle, along with partner technologies, sports lighter weights, which is important for higher-altitude hunts and longer treks in the field.

Incredibly, the 110 Ultralite Elite weighs five pounds, and it’s designed to combat elevation and elements while maintaining the performance of a factory blueprinted Savage 110 action. Additionally, the folding butt stock reduces the overall length by 9 inches (when folded), and allows for ease of transport in the backcountry. The carbon fiber wrapped stainless steel barrel provides a lightweight carry on the rifle.
Additional features include a lightweight stainless steel receiver with blackout Cerakote finish, gunmetal gray Cerakote finish on the Magnesium center section, three-position tang safety, 1.5-4-pound AccuTrigger (user-adjustable), length-of-pull adjustments, comb height adjustments, threaded bolt handle (5/16×24), carbon fiber bolt knob, and threaded muzzle (5/8×24). It even sports a one-piece 20MOA picatinny scope rail, low-profile AICS detachable box magazine, and an Omniport muzzle brake.
The 110 Ultralite Elite is available with an 18-inch barrel in 6.5 CM or 308 Winchester. It’s also available with a 20-inch barrel in 6.5 PRC, 7mm PRC, 300 Win Mag, and 300 WSM. MSRP is $3,299.
Savage AccuCan
The all-new AccuCan by Savage Arms is certainly something to consider, and it makes heavy, old-school suppressors a thing of the past. It supports a lightweight design that still delivers quality. This makes it ideal for all-day carries in the field. The MonoKore design minimizes recoil, sound, and even muzzle flash. The AccuCan is available in three models.
AC338: The AC 338 has a thread pitch of 5/8″-24. Sound reduction with a 26-inch barrel is 132.5 db. It measures 10.9 inches long, 1.75 inches across, and weighs 18.5 ounces. It’s rated up to 338 Lapua Magnum, including 338 Win Mag, and others. MSRP is $899.99.
AC30: The AC30 has a thread pitch of 5/8″-24. Sound reduction with an 18-inch barrel is 134.7 db, and with a 20-inch barrel, it’s 136.6 db. It measures 7.9 inches long, 1.75 inches across, and weighs 10.8 ounces. It’s rated for up to 300 PRC, including 300 Win Mag, 308 Win, 300 Blackout, 7mm PRC, 6.5 Creedmoor, etc. MSRP is $699.99.

AC22: The AC22 has a thread pitch of 1/2″-28. Sound reduction is 114 db (with sub-sonic) or 135 db (with supersonic). It measures 5.9 inches long, 1 inch across, and weighs 3.5 ounces. It’s available in 17 HMR, 22 long rifle, and 22 WMR. MSRP is $399.99.
For all three, the modularity includes a replaceable core and end cap, and it has a direct thread aluminum mount with titanium thread insert. These are made with 100% machined 7075-T6 aluminum and 6Al-4V Ti. Plus, these even feature built in, self-cleaning carbon cutters and hard-coat anodizing finishes. Each of these are rated for a rate of fire of one round every one second for up to 20 rounds. Then, allow these to cool to ambient temperatures.
